Question: "What is Christianity and what do Christians believe?"
Answer: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says, Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
How do I know there really is a God? Posted by ekwade on Friday, June 09, 2006 (21:58:45) (407 reads)
Question: "How do I know there really is a God? Does God exist? Is there evidence for the existence of God?"
Answer: How do I know there really is a God? I find it interesting that so much attention is given to this debate. The latest surveys tell us that over 90% of people in the world today believe in the existence of God or some higher power. Yet, somehow the responsibility is placed on those who believe God does exist to somehow prove that He really does exist. To me, I think it should be the other way around.

Is Jesus the only way to Heaven? Posted by ekwade on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 (08:20:57) (547 reads)
Question: "Is Jesus the only way to Heaven?"
Answer: "I'm basically a good person, so I'll go to heaven." "OK, so I do some bad things, but I do more good things, so I'll go to heaven." "God won't send me to hell just because I don't live by the Bible. Times have changed!" "Only really bad people like child molesters and murderers go to hell." Isn't it amazing how people try to justify their righteousness?
Can a Christian lose salvation? Posted by ekwade on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 (00:47:23) (461 reads)
Question: "Can a Christian Lose Their Salvation?"
Answer: Before this question is answered, the term 'Christian' must be defined. A 'Christian' is not a person who has said a prayer, or walked down an aisle, or been raised in a Christian family. While each of these things can be a part of the Christian experience, they are not what makes a Christian. A Christian is a person who has, by faith, received and fully trusted in Jesus Christ as their Lord and only Savior (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-9).

We often hear Christians refer to Jesus as Lord, but many do not know what that really means. Romans 10:9 clearly states that making Jesus the Lord of our life is critical to obtaining eternal life. What does it actually mean to make Jesus the Lord of your life?

Is Freemasonry compatible with Christianity?
Freemasonry - Some Background
Freemasonry is veiled in assorted levels of secrecy, legend, and misunderstanding. Throughout the decades, this "social" organization has been referred to as a Christian brotherhood. Others consider it a fraternity of the occult. Freemasonry is often the target of conspiracy theorists, who allege that Masons are responsible for orchestrating entire political, financial and cultural movements throughout the world. For purposes of this website, we will limit our discussion of history, lore and legend, and focus on the basic "doctrinal" positions of today's Freemasonry - although the "basics" can even be hidden or misunderstood in various parts of the Order.
Should Christians celebrate Christmas? Posted by ekwade on Monday, December 18, 2006 (16:27:14) (538 reads)
There is no Biblical warrant, precedent, nor precept for remembrance of the day of Christ's birth as a day of special religious celebration. This is not to say that we shouldn't remember Christ's birth and its significance, but for religious commemorations or celebrations, we must have Biblical command or precedent! The fact of the matter is this -- the early church did not celebrate Christ's birth, but such celebration only came into the church with the "Christianization" of pagan rites as Catholicism was made the state religion by Constantine in the fourth century A.D. Since the Word of God does not support the tradition of Christmas, a Christian's conscience ought not and must not be bound.
Does the Bible contain errors, contradictions, or discrepancies? Posted by ekwade on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 (10:26:01) (425 reads)
Question: "Does the Bible contain errors, contradictions, or discrepancies?"
Answer: We often get questions along the lines of “Explain how these verses do not contradict!†or “Look, here is an error in the Bible!†Admittedly, some of the things people bring up are difficult to answer. However, there are viable and intellectually plausible answers to every supposed Bible contradiction and error. There are books and websites available that list “all the errors in the Bible.†Most people simply get their ammunition from these places – they do not find these supposed errors on their own.
